I have owned one now for two years. My visor has failed me twice in the same manner, a little tab broke off which slides into the adjustment slot on the side. If I raise the visor too high, it pops out on that side and flaps in the wind.

The cheekpads In my experience the Spada Intrepid is best suited for short trips regardless of the season, due to the misting and overheating issues. If you want a relatively inexpensive but solid helmet which looks and feels premium, this would be a good choice – I’d suggest adding the Pinlock option to eliminate visor misting.

One of the key features of an adventure-styled helmet is the peak, and it feels as though the peak on the Spada Intrepid was a bit of an afterthought, and it’s not particularly well designed. It’s adjustable and removable, but regardless of how it’s set, it offers very little protection from overhead sunlight (thankfully the helmet comes with a built-in sun visor).
